Our Team

Kyle credits two key individuals for teaching him invaluable industry and life lessons. First his father, Howard Hunt, Vice President of Construction at Hans Hagen Homes, who took Kyle to job sites from a young age. Also, Larry Laukka, owner of a residential development and building company, an early employer and supportive mentor. Ultimately heeding an inherent entrepreneurial spirit, in 1990 Kyle, along with Laurie, successfully founded Kyle Hunt & Partners.

From day one, Kyle has been dedicated to client-centric service, detailed diligence, and the pure beauty of the work - all of which continue to be reflected in the company’s culture of excellence. His zeal for all that is artisan is an ever-present and contagious energy that fuels the firm’s day-to-day lived values. Marrying creative design and construction integrity with discernment, Kyle personally engages with each project alongside clients and team members to its artful completion.

Kyle enjoys camping out west with Laurie and their two children. He is actively involved with The Outpost Ministry Center in helping others find meaningful work and live productive lives centered around service to others. Additional interests include regenerative agriculture and farming in harmony with nature as stewards of our planet.

As co-founder of Kyle Hunt & Partners, Laurie’s business background and acumen serve to complement her passion for architecture and design. Having grown up on a farm, Laurie’s strong work ethic fuels her do-what-it-takes dedication to our team, our clients, and the artisan homes we build. She is especially adept at seeing and understanding how seemingly nuanced details will cumulatively lead to an extraordinary result. Laurie’s experience, creativity and her insights and contributions positively reverberate throughout the entire firm and our projects at every stage. Meaningfully, Laurie’s refined influence can be felt in every home we build.

Laurie loves to travel, especially with Kyle and their two children, exploring new places and camping in the mountains every year. She enjoys photography and looks to take that interest to the next level.

For more than 20 years, Glenn has worked to help clients see the vision of their dream homes come to life. He achieves this with both enthusiasm for creative collaboration and keen attention to detail, an attribute he honed while earning an accounting degree from St. Cloud State University. Over his long tenure at Kyle Hunt & Partners, Glenn has developed an anticipatory management approach which time and again proves to be invaluable. Serious about excellence, yet naturally good humored, the team and clients always appreciate the fun Glenn brings to the process.

Outside of work, Glenn brings this same energy to the golf course, the pickleball court, and hiking trails.

In addition to a degree in Construction Project Management, Eric brings 20 years of experience in custom homebuilding to his role. He relishes a team approach to the building process and his expertise is integral to achieving the high level of quality produced by the team on behalf of clients. Throughout the life of a project, Eric demonstrates that rare mix of leadership qualities every client and project benefits from - intelligence, approachability, thoughtfulness, and responsiveness.

A self-proclaimed morning person, Eric enjoys camping and fishing—especially on Moose Lake near Ely—and dog training. He and his wife have three wonderful children.

Arric learned to swing a hammer and climb ladders at an early age, shadowing his dad in the construction and remodeling industry. He spent his senior year of high school in Moscow, remodeling an orphanage with a faith-based ministry. He brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the jobsite and enjoys working with trade partners and an internal team of talented professionals.

Along with his family, Arric often visits the North Shore of Lake Superior, especially in Grand Marais, where they love to explore, listen to the waves, and skip rocks in the cove. He also spends time hunting, hiking, going to movies, and completing house projects. Arric’s future plans include obtaining his pilot’s license and flying small planes.

Kyle learned the value of hard work from his father, who balanced a construction job during the week with farming on the weekends. He carried that lesson with him to Dunwoody College of Technology, where he earned a degree in HVAC design. His work ethic, an intuitive understanding of the importance of collaboration, and an acute sense of detail and accuracy have served clients and their projects well over more than two decades as a Site Supervisor at Kyle Hunt & Partners.

An avid hunter, Kyle can often be found at the smoker on the weekends, cooking up tender, tasty meats. He is also a Minnesota Vikings fan, and loves to camp and hike with his family, especially on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Paul’s primary goal as a Kyle Hunt & Partners Site Supervisor is to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, something that comes naturally with his extensive experience in the construction industry and a degree in Construction Management. An early riser who makes the most of the mornings to get things done, Paul is known for his sharp attention to detail and quality results, which are appreciated by both his teammates and our clients.

A fan of Minnesota’s North Shore, which offers outdoor recreation year-round, Paul enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, and spending time with his children and dog, Bella.

Sean brings 15 years of high-end construction experience to the Kyle Hunt & Partners team and embraces managing the many moving elements inherent in the day-to-day of the custom home building process. Observant, efficient, and attentive to detail, Sean sets a high bar.

Married with two young sons and two black labs, Sean enjoys spending time fishing, deer hunting, running obstacle course races, and golfing.

With more than 20 years of experience in home construction management, Jeff enjoys collaborating with clients and the project team to understand needs and objectives to ensure a smooth process. His ability to draw on a long history of situational experiences in the field, coupled with the positivity he brings to the team, are indispensable.

An outdoor enthusiast, Jeff likes to mountain bike, ski, skate, and fish with his girlfriend and sons. He especially loves spending time on the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior, a great place to get away and unwind.

Sara enjoys the unique nature of the custom home building industry in working with families to create beautiful spaces that reflect their needs and lifestyles. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and gained years of experience in commercial construction prior to joining Kyle Hunt & Partners in 2007. Sara approaches her work in terms of best practices and excellence, the results of which team members and clients see play out over the course of every project she is involved with.

Sara loves to spend time in the garden and volunteer for a local animal shelter.

What Tari finds most rewarding is the opportunity to work directly with clients to understand their lifestyle needs, and then to help translate those into their artisan home vision. She excels at collaborating with clients and teams of industry professionals and craftspeople. In addition, utilizing technology, methodology, and organizational systems, Tari provides critical support to project teams – the foundational infrastructure of the project management process.

Tari likes to spend her time boating, cooking, and traveling, as well as with her family, including seven grandchildren.

Growing up with two brothers on a farm in southwestern Minnesota, Madison learned from an early age the value of persistence, drive, and a strong work ethic. Earning a degree in kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, she ultimately pursued her passion for the home industry, including residential design, construction, and real estate. In 2021, she joined Kyle Hunt & Partners as a licensed Realtor® and Assistant Project Manager. Professionalism, critical thinking, and a desire to elevate every client experience are the overarching themes of Madison’s approach to
every project.  

Madison enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially at her family’s cabin, working out, cooking, and relaxing at home. Her cat, Winnie, loves movie nights.  

Prior to joining Kyle Hunt & Partners in 2004, Sharon enjoyed careers at both Lyman Lumber and Cargill. Her business skills, accounting acumen, and operational support are recognized by team members as critical underpinnings to the work of all. Sharon continually leads by example, including and especially in epitomizing collegiality as a value.

Sharon volunteers at Tree House, is a member of the Excelsior Rotary Club, and enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin.

A strong dedication to detail and quality runs in the Stranz family. Throughout high school and into college, Joshua worked in the remodeling and construction industries with his father. He joined the KH&P team on a fulltime basis in 2016 and enjoys the daily variety of work as well as the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled professionals.

Joshua also uses his talents for game development, 3D modeling, and working on cars.

With a keen eye for design and drawing on his experience in both graphic design and business, Henry assists with the development and implementation of Kyle Hunt & Partners marketing strategies, including being instrumental in the firm’s rebranding efforts in 2021. He is currently pursuing a degree in graphic design from Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, and readily translates his ever-increasing knowledge and creative talents to real-world, professional applications.

Henry enjoys spending time with family and friends camping and hiking—especially along the shores of Lake Superior in Grand Marais. He is a force on the basketball court, and also looks forward to learning to play guitar.

A loyal companion to Site Supervisor Paul Hesli, Bella wants to be included in all activities, including work. As a friendly, affectionate coworker, we are happy to have her join in! She loves belly rubs, frisbees, and tennis balls. At home, when not outside, you often find her watching tennis on TV. Bella also enjoys boating, swimming, and chasing deer out of the yard.
